The Journal of Language, Thought & Education (JLTE) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for both empirically and conceptually oriented papers covering a wide range of issues revolving around the interplay of linguistic and cognitive factors. The journal addresses and foregrounds those questions that are indispensable to an understanding of how the human mind is engaged with processing, learning and reflecting on the language. Accordingly, JLTE welcomes manuscripts which are intended to examine salient ideas, features and phenomena in general, applied, corpus and cognitive linguistics, pragmatics and translation studies. The journal makes a deliberate and principled effort to cross disciplinary barriers, thus extending to other areas of knowledge such as philosophy, psychology or sociology with a linguistically and/or cognitively flavored agenda. JLTE is published once a year and has its origins in the English Department of the University of Zielona Góra, Poland.
